Wolves were delighted to host the now regular fixture with Amherst and took an early lead through a superb strike from Charlie capitalising on a clever pass from the ever-industrious Alfie B-N.
Wolves lead was extended with a powerful shot into to bottom corner by "Henri" Woods following a nice passage of play between Charlie and Alfie B-N.
A strong Amherst rallied, pulling a goal back following which captain French did a fine job in galvanising his defence which saw Steel making some incisive tackles and Peacock flying at the Amherst attack.
The second half saw the impressive Bryce making a number of crucial saves but Amherst managed a tap- in to equalise after a spectacular initial save from a low cross- goal shot.
There were many seemingly unstoppable excursions down the right wing from Timbers who was finally felled and awarded a free kick which led to Charlie's second goal, a wonderful strike into the top corner.
The boot of central midfielder Hunter ended many an Amherst attack, putting in some solid tackles and linking up well with the Wolves forwards.
A fine solo effort from Woods ended with an awesome strike into the top right corner sealing a deserved win for Wolves who were forced to defend until the final whistle against continuing pressure from a committed Amherst.
